My name is Luke Field and I am currently a Trainee Computer Technician within Sheffield University, as a member of the SYFIT Project. I am 28 years old and live in Darfield, a village just outside Barnsley.

Since leaving school, I have held many different jobs, but more recently I have been in and out of employment, through a series of temporary jobs. I applied for this position because it offers a wonderful opportunity to begin a career in an interesting field, as well as offering opportunities for self development.

Recently,I have developed an increasing interest in I.T and computing and feel this position will allow me to develop my knowledge even further. I would like to use this job to gain experience that will allow me to build a career in I.T and computing. In my spare time,I am a keen sportsman, regularly playing tennis, squash and competing in competitive football league. I also enjoy participating in outdoor activities such as climbing, ski-ing and snowboarding.
