Ben Forde

My name is Ben Forde and I am currently working at the University, as a Trainee Computer Technician. I am 19 years old and live in a town named Goldthorpe, near Barnsley.

My main interests are playing pool, going to watch my favourite football team (SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY), which I have supported all my life and also love going out drinking with the lads at the weekend.

(Work Experience) When I was at school, I did my work experience at Massarellas Restaurant, in Meadowhall. After leaving schoo, I worked at a furniture workshop where I designed and made furniture for mobile homes. I also worked part-time at Ventura call centre, whilst I was studying at college. The last job I had was working as a Joiner for a company named Aizlewoods, I enjoyed working with the company and enjoyed the work but I realised I needed a better career and that’s when this job opportunity arose.

Hopefully, the job will be enjoyable as like working in all aspects of computing. It is also a chance to gain more qualifications and experience in this line of work. (Further Studies) I have recently completed an Information Communication Technology (ICT) course at Dearne Valley College and I have applied to go back this year to study an HNC Computing Course. I will be doing the course part time in work hours and on a evening as it is part of my Technician training.
